Spring 2023 Call for Project Proposals

The Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies invites applications from UNM faculty and students for funding to support collaborative initiatives in the arts, humanities and social sciences that bridge academia and the wider community. Proposals may include but are not limited to lectures, museum exhibits, creative works, workshops, conferences, and research and creative projects that focus on material culture and oral history, environment and climate change, education, language use and reclamation, food, health, or any other topic of interest to participating communities. We support fully-developed collaborative projects, with budgets up to $10,000. We also provide seed funds to develop longer-term and/or larger-scale collaborative projects with budgets up to $2,000. Graduate Students are eligible to apply for the seed grants.
