Dr. Cynthia Chavez Lamar, UNM alumna, named director of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Chavez Lamar is scheduled to present the inaugural lecture in the Alfonso Ortiz Lecture Series, hosted by the Alfonso Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies, The Department of Anthropology and the Maxell Museum.
