Will Wilson (Navajo) is widely recognized for current project “Critical Indigenous Photographic Exchange: (CPIX), an unusual approach to photography employing a process of archival pigment on wet plates which he scans to produce portraits. He conducted a portrait studio supported by the Ortiz Center at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology in November 2013, producing a series of photographs of students, faculty and community people at the UNM campus. Wilson’s CPIX project is also on exhibit at the Maxwell Museum and was curated by Devorah Ramonek, Curator of Exhibits.
