In November 6-19, 2015, Ortiz Center director Beverly Singer participated in a walk through Maasai land visiting communities through a walk organized by Maasai elder Ezekiel Ole Katato. Across Maasai Land Initiative (AMLI) is based in Kenya and organized to support local resources and cultural knowledge for sustainable livelihoods of Maasai in Kenya. The Maasai land walk was created as a Peace and Conservation opportunity for international visitors to take part in learning about Maasai and their homeland as a means of reciprocal understanding human capacity and exchange of ideas for supporting Maasai in their desire to promote positive initiatives for future generations. Assisting Ole Ezekiel is an organization based in Holland called Master Peace which recruited many of the walk participants.
