Dr. Shamsi Berry will present her talk Merging Anthropology and Informatics: Improving Health Using Data from the Dead via Zoom as part of the Anthropology Colloquia Speaker Series, Anthropology in 2020.

Shamsi Berry received her PhD in Biological Anthropology from UNM in 2011. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Biomedical informatics at UNM. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Western Michigan University Home Stryker MD School of Medicine. Her research focuses on improving the health of the living using data from the dead.
